A reputable healthcare provider is seeking a Theatre Nurse – Scrub to relocate to Malta. You will prepare operating rooms, assist the surgical team, and maintain a sterile environment. A recognized nursing degree and current licensure are required. Servicios

Quality Premium Allowance: €1,450 annually
Shift Allowance: €6,920 to €7,120 annually
Diploma reimbursement: €380 annually
Bachelor’s Degree reimbursement: €500 annually
Master’s Degree reimbursement: €800 annually

Formación

  • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the Nurse and Midwifery Council of Malta (or willingness to obtain it).
  • Willingness to stay up to date on nursing trends and techniques.
  • Flexibility to take on additional departmental duties when necessary.

Responsabilidades

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment is available before surgery.
  • Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures and assist the surgical team.
  • Pass instruments to the surgeon and provide essential support during operations.
  • Carry out swab and instrument checks in line with hospital policies.
  • Ensure a smooth patient transition with pre/post-operation handovers.

Location: Sliema or Zejtun, Malta
Starting Salary: €22,000 – €30,000 per annum

Your Role as a Theatre Nurse – Scrub

  • Prepare the operating room and ensure all necessary equipment is available before surgery.
  • Maintain a sterile environment throughout procedures and assist the surgical team.
  • Pass instruments to the surgeon and provide essential support during operations.
  • Carry out swab and instrument checks in line with hospital policies.
  • Ensure a smooth patient transition with pre/post-operation handovers.
  • Maintain stock levels and adhere to strict safety protocols, including the World Health Organisation’s ‘Safe Surgical Checklist’.

What You’ll Need

  • Recognised nursing degree.
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse with the Nurse and Midwifery Council of Malta (or willingness to obtain it).
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, nursing care methods, and emergency care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Good time management, organisational skills, and a professional attitude.
  • Computer literacy is essential.

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to stay up to date on nursing trends and techniques.
  • Ability to work in either Sliema or Zejtun as required.
  • Adherence to company health and safety policies.
  • Flexibility to take on additional departmental duties when necessary.
