Airbus Crisa in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) seeks a Test Engineer to develop and design electronic units for flight equipment, ensuring delivery on schedule, cost and quality. You will report to the Project Manager and Test Manager, and define test procedures and automation scripts to streamline validation.

The role requires a Master’s degree in engineering or science, 2+ years of V&V experience, and bilingual English/Spanish, with a proactive, collaborative mindset and strong problem solving.

Job Description:Several positions are now open in Airbus CRISA (Airbus Defense & Space) in Tres Cantos (Madrid area) for different Space business:Launchers (Ariane6, Vega-C and Vega-E), Earth Exploration (Copernicus missions and PAZ-2), Space Exploration (Artemis), Commercial (Telecommunications Satellites). In a day-to-day basis, she/he will report to Project Manager and the Test Manager, being part of the Test Manager Extended Team. The main tasks of the test engineer is the definition of the test procedure and the associated test scripts, with the main mission of automating and simplifying the validation process. In addition she/he will be in charge of performing the nominal test campaign (functional, environmental and EMC tests) and completing the qualification / acceptance of the different units, assuring the final compliance of the unit against the customer requirements.Required skillsWe are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:Educated to Master degree level (or equivalent) in engineering or science discipline.At least two years of experience in the Validation and Verification of Electronic Units.English and Spanish must be negotiation-level, both written and spoken.Technical excellence and technical challenge spirit.Digital mindset (automation of tasks, scripting, use of digital design tools and simulators).Excellent communication and reporting skills (both internal and external).Customer oriented.Strong team working and cooperation spirit to motivate the project team.Capability to propose practical solutions; constructive and innovative mindset to propose efficient solutions and committing way forward.Independent and autonomous way of working.Recommended skillsKnowledge of space environment constraints and European space regulations, ESCC, SMD, etcFamiliar with Agile Methodologies.Technical knowledge of advanced test instrumentation to foster the testing automation (involving the development of scripts and data management).Happy to learn and teach others.Feel like you can't tick some boxes above?
