King's College School Alicante, part of Inspired Education, is seeking an experienced Mathematics Teacher to join on a temporary basis from March 2027, covering a paternity leave. You will teach Mathematics across the school, up to A Level, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons.

The ideal candidate will hold a mathematics degree, a recognised secondary teaching qualification, and proven experience teaching A Level Mathematics within a British or international school environment.

ROLE SUMMARY

King's College School Alicante is looking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic Mathematics Teacher to join the school on a temporary basis from March 2027, covering a period of paternity leave.

The successful candidate will teach Mathematics across the school, up to A Level, and will be responsible for delivering engaging, challenging and well-structured lessons that support students in achieving their full academic potential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Teach Mathematics across the school, up to A Level.
• Plan and deliver engaging and appropriately challenging Mathematics lessons.
• Prepare and support students studying A Level Mathematics, ensuring they develop strong subject knowledge and examination skills.
• Assess and monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.li>
• Adapt teaching approaches and resources to meet the needs of individual learners.
• Promote problem-solving, logical thinking and independent learning.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues within the Mathematics department and across the wider school.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

• A degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification appropriate for secondary education.
• Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary level.
• Strong experience teaching A Level Mathematics is essential.
• Excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Mathematics.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and inspire students of different ages and abilities.
• Experience within a British or international school environment would be advantageous.
• Commitment to high academic standards and student progress.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Availability to start in March 2027 and undertake the temporary assignment covering paternity leave.
