Job summary

Aloft Hotels is seeking a full-time Maintenance Engineer at our Madrid location. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems.

The role requires the ability to train others and assume Engineer on Duty responsibilities when needed. Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in hotel maintenance, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license, plus CFC certification.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface prep, and painting.
• At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
• Valid Driver’s License and CFC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal supervision.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools and equipment and inspect systems.
• Operate and troubleshoot hotel MEP systems and basic building controls.
• Train and mentor other engineers and perform Engineer on Duty duties when needed.
• Follow safety policies, manage materials, and report issues to shifts.
