The role focuses on aligning IT strategies with organizational objectives, managing vendor relationships, and driving digital transformation within Radiology operations. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in deploying technology solutions and a strong focus on customer UX/UI. Formación

As part of our ongoing wider transformation journey to build a more agile, efficient, and patient‑centred organisation and strengthen our medical, operational and commercial performance – we are looking to recruit an IT Business Partner – Radiology based in Barcelona, Spain.

The role will play a pivotal role in aligning information technology strategies with the objectives of the organization. This role serves as the technology thought leader for radiology and as a liaison between the IT departments and various business units, ensuring that technology solutions effectively support and enhance Radiology operations.

This global role seeks the very best from all markets, rapidly propagates across remaining markets, and deploys Global Solutions and capabilities while constantly scanning the external landscape for solutions that drive increased patient care, customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

The role is expected to champion our unwavering determination to digitise Radiology end‑to‑end, and fulfil our borderless strategy, linking the processing of 7mio images with our pool of 700 skilled radiologists, improving patient outcomes and driving efficiencies.

There may be a requirement to travel as required by the business.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment
  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand their goals and objectives for Radiology.
  • Translate these objectives into actionable IT strategies and initiatives that support the organization's overall vision and mission.
  • Provide current thinking on all technology advancements within the RAD modality.
Business Relationship Management
  • Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external, serving as a trusted advisor on IT‑related matters.
  • Act as a bridge between Radiology SBU, Radiology Operations, TeleRadiology and the business units IT departments, advocating for the needs and priorities of all parties.
Needs Assessment
  • Conduct thorough assessments of business processes and workflows to identify areas where technology can drive efficiency, innovation and competitive advantage.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop solutions that address their specific needs.
Solution Development
  • Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop and implement technology solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are feasible, scalable and cost‑effective, considering factors such as budget constraints and resource availability.
Project and Change Management
  • Oversee the planning, execution and delivery of IT projects related to Radiology functions.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring that milestones are met and objectives are achieved according to the agreed‑upon scope and quality standards.
  • Facilitate organisational change by promoting the adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Provide training, guidance and support to end‑users to ensure smooth transitions and maximise the benefits of implemented solutions.
Performance Monitoring
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness and impact of IT initiatives on Radiology outcomes.
  • Regularly assess and report on the performance of IT systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and optimisation.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities associated with IT solutions and Radiology operations.
  • Develop strategies to mitigate these risks and ensure the security, integrity and compliance of data and systems.
Vendor Management
  • Own the Sectra relationship (PACS), ensuring that Unilabs achieves value for money; strategic relationships with RIS and AI vendors.
  • 5+ years’ experience deploying technology to support Radiology (elective and emergency) including AI and advanced analytics.
  • Experience of Digital transformation of the end‑to‑end processes with strong customer UX/UI focus.
  • Knowledge of IT systems and technologies, RIS, PACS, reporting tools and integration technologies and comprehensive IT architectures in the radiology space.
  • Solid project management abilities with a demonstrated track record of successfully delivering IT projects on time and within budget.
  • Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex issues and develop innovative solutions.
  • Bold and ambitious; able to multi‑task, prioritize and successfully meet several deadlines at once while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams.
  • Exceptional problem‑solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset.
  • Experience managing relationships with external partners, stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
