Job summary

Universitat de Barcelona is seeking a First Stage Researcher (R1) in Medical Sciences to provide technical support for ATMP production, including lentiviral particles, cell therapy and tissue engineering products. The position is a 12-month temporary contract, 35 hours per week, starting 1 Sep 2026 with potential renewal.

Salary is €31,024.10 gross per year. English, Spanish and Catalan language requirements apply; knowledge of GMP/ISO/GLP quality regulations preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of laboratory techniques including cell cultures and virus production; familiarity with ISO, GLP or NCF quality regulations.
• Experience in manufacturing ATMPs under GMP.

Responsibilities

• Technical support to the laboratory for the production of advanced therapy drugs, including lentiviral particles and tissue engineering products.
• Assist in lab workflows, equipment operation and quality compliance as part of ATMP manufacturing.

Offer Description

Technical support to the laboratory for the production of advanced therapy drugs, both in the production of lentiviral particles and cell therapy and tissue engineering products.

Gross salary per year: 31.024,10 €.

Application deadline: from July 16 to 29, 2026, both inclusive.

Knowledge of laboratory techniques that include cell cultures and/or virus production, as well as quality regulations; ISO, GLP or NCF.

Eligibility Criteria

The selection is made through theevaluation of the curriculum, with an overall score of zero (0) to ten (10) points. The minimum score is five (5) points. The evaluation criteria are the following:

• Suitability of the candidate to the main function to be carried out
• Curricular experience
• Professional knowledge and skills
• Communication skills and motivation.

The tribunal, in its constitutive session, assesses the CVs of the candidates presented.

Selection Process

A resolution of adjudication is issued to the person who, having passed the selection procedure, obtains the highest score and publishes the prioritised list of applicants who have passed the selection process, indicating the scores obtained, for subsequent recruitment, if necessary.

Duration of the contract of employment:12 months, renewable up to 31/08/2031.
