Job summary

Verisk Analytics, through Whitespace Software, seeks an experienced software engineer to help build and scale a global digital risk placement platform. You will own key features, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with product, design, and operations to deliver reliable, high-performance services.

You will work with Angular, TypeScript, Node.js and microservices in a cloud-based environment, contribute to architecture decisions, and ensure code quality through modern development practices,

Qualifications

• Strong experience building and maintaining complex software systems.
• Proven experience with Angular and TypeScript as core technologies.
• Exposure to Node.js and ideally Swift or other modern languages.
• Experience working with NoSQL databases such as Couchbase, MongoDB, or similar.
• Knowledge of microservices architectures and container-based environments.
• Solid understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and best practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments with modern development workflows.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers.
