About the Role

The resource will lead projects within Engineering Function and will deal with R&D and Engineering team for technical design, ensuring project consistency to design standards and business guidelines.

Main responsibilities

• Leading the project within the Engineering function, ensuring that the product meets agreed technical requirements and coordinating the design team;
• Overseeing Mechanical, Hardware, and Software development according to project specifications;
• Defining and managing the design plan, system architecture, and module breakdown;
• Releasing existing modules into production and verifying them through simulation and virtual commissioning;
• Managing system integration, verification, and final design validation;
• Supporting manufacturing and assembly processes, implementing design adjustments and updating the bill of materials as needed;
• Reviewing and approving final engineering documentation;
• Driving Design to Cost initiatives and promoting technical knowledge sharing within and beyond the engineering team;
• Ensuring a smooth handover from R&D to the rest of the organization;
• Leading and supporting the team by setting clear objectives and development plans.

What you need to be successful

• Mechanical, Automation or Mechatronic Engineering Degree;
• Master’s in Engineering or Management;
• At least 7 years of experience in mechanical design;
• Knowledge of modern 3D CAD system, integrated with PLM;
• Good knowledge of pneumatics;
• Familiar with basic functions of ERP;
• Electrical and Software Engineering knowledge;
• Background in packaging machine sector would be highly valuable.
