Tion Renewables GmbH is seeking a Technical Director (m/f/d) for our Madrid or Frankfurt office. You will provide technical leadership across wind, solar PV and battery storage projects, drive asset performance improvements, and support investment and M&A activities with deep due diligence.

The role requires 5+ years in renewables, a commercially driven engineering mindset, and excellent English; German or Spanish language skills are a strong plus.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of technical experience in renewable energy.
• Commercially driven engineer with deep expertise in wind, solar PV and battery storage.
• Experience at leading technical advisory firm or renewable energy OEM is a plus.
• Strong understanding of technical due diligence in M&A transactions.
• Hands-on, self-starter mentality with problem-solving mindset.
• Team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; German/Spanish/Italian/Polish skills are a strong plus.

As Technical Director (m/f/d) – Renewable Energy, for our office in Frankfurt am Main or Madrid, you will be responsible for:

• Providing technical leadership across wind, solar PV, and battery storage projects.
• Assessing and optimizing the performance and reliability of our assets.
• Supporting investment and M&A activities with deep technical due diligence.
• Advising on asset development, engineering, and operational strategies.
• Managing relationships with OEMs, technical advisors, and service providers.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and technical best practices.
• Being an integral part of and sharing knowledge with the Investment, Commercial, and Asset management teams
• Potentially the team leader function, depending on the development within the organization

For this role, ideally, you bring:
