Job summary

IDOM is seeking a Technical Director for Industrial Solutions Development with a focus on Ignition, to lead a cross-functional team in Bilbao or Madrid. The role emphasizes technical leadership, architecture collaboration, and ensuring quality across the project lifecycle.

The successful candidate will combine strong software development experience with Ignition-related skills, Agile and traditional methodologies, and a sustained drive for innovation in a multinational, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• You have studied computer engineering, industrial electronics, or automation.
• You have at least 5 years of experience in industrial software development and/or at least 2 years in technical leadership
• You have experience in agile and traditional methodologies and are proficient in tools such as Azure DevOps and JIRA.
• You have advanced knowledge of Git and CI/CD.
• Experience with Inductive Automation Ignition (Deseable)
• Proficiency in Ignition Designer, Perspective, and Vision (Deseable)
• Knowledge of Python (Jython), OPC UA, MQTT.
• Integration with databases and external systems.
• You have teamwork skills and technical rigor.
• You have advanced English proficiency.
• And above all... a strong desire to learn in an international company like IDOM.
