Team Leader - English speaker – Barcelona Hybrid

We are seeking an empathetic and people-oriented Team Lead to join Cognizant’s team in Barcelona.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and motivating a team of digital marketing specialists, ensuring they perform at their best while maintaining a positive, collaborative, and high‑performing work environment.

The ideal candidate is not necessarily a technical expert, but a strong communicator and team leader — someone who can inspire, organize, and support others to deliver excellent results for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of digital marketing professionals, fostering engagement, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the team, providing guidance, feedback, and support to ensure both individual and collective success.
  • Manage project timelines and priorities while maintaining high quality and client satisfaction.
  • Build strong, trust‑based relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Identify development areas within the team and implement solutions to improve efficiency and morale.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, analyze trends, and guide the team toward continuous improvement.
  • Promote a culture of openness, accountability, and excellence within the delivery teams.
  • Coordinate with local and onsite teams to exchange knowledge and share best practices.
  • Manage resources effectively, balancing workload and planning ahead for team changes or new opportunities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing or supervising a team of digital marketing or customer service professionals.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire people, set priorities, and foster a positive and productive work atmosphere.
  • Excellent communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle feedback and resolve conflicts constructively.
  • Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent English (C2 level) — both written and spoken.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing and online advertising principles (Google Ads, Search, Display, etc.) is an advantage, but strong leadership and people management skills are the key.
  • Proficiency in Excel and a general familiarity with digital tools and platforms (HTML, CSS, JavaScript knowledge is a plus but not required).
