Descripción del empleo

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technician services. We are currently looking for a TBM Electrical Superintendent to join our team for a construction project in the United States (on-site position).

  • Estimated length: 24 months - In general, when the project ends, we try to place the candidate in other projects to give him/her continuity.
  • Summary: You will be reporting to the head of the Plant Department, and you will oversee all electrical networks and electrical equipment on the project.
  • Responsibilities:
  1. Design electrical networks of the project, including coordination with the Professional Engineer and the electricity provider, in accordance with client requirements.
  2. Management of the fabrication and installation of all the electrical networks of the project (including in-house teams, subcontractors, providers, etc.).
  3. Subcontracting, purchasing, or fabricating in-house of all the electrical equipment of the project (substation, electrical cabinets).
  4. Technical consultation for investment and equipment rental.
  5. Adapt installations at Plant Manager or Production Manager request.
  6. Responsible for the electrical assembly, commissioning, and dismantling of every equipment, particularly the Tunnel Boring Machines and its associated equipment.
  7. Check the equipment upon receipt (technical, delivery of operating and maintenance documentation, certificates of conformity).
  8. Organize and monitor maintenance work in accordance with the equipment maintenance schedules and regulations, by using the Computerized Maintenance Management System GMAO. Ensure that troubleshooting interventions are reported on the GMAO.
  9. Establishment of the electrical spare part list for all the equipment.
  10. Assist the Plant Manager in defining the electrical budget and monitor it.
  11. Implement monitoring system for electrical consumption of the main equipment.
  12. Implement and maintain Health & Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards as per project requirements.
  13. Write the LOTO procedure and coordinate its application with the various departments on the project.
  14. Ensure method statements, job descriptions, procedures, and safety instructions are followed.
  • Requirements:
    1. Hold a professional license of the career (must).
    2. A minimum of 8 years of experience as a TBM Electrical Superintendent in similar projects.
    3. Experience with TBM projects including medium/low voltage electrical distribution on tunnel/railway projects, heavy civil construction projects, or similar.
    4. Licensed Electrician or Supervision of Electricians.
    5. Thorough knowledge of all aspects of electrical construction (electrical code, equipment, methods); craft agreements, jurisdiction, and safety required.
    6. Excellent communication, organizational, and supervisory skills are essential.
