Job summary

Airbus Defence and Space SAU is seeking a professional to lead Tactical Data Link integration across multiple programmes and contracts. You will manage the complete lifecycle of Data Link systems, collaborating with international teams and customers in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes system design, hardware interfaces, supplier management, testing and certification, with hybrid working when possible and opportunities for development in a multicultural setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Tactical Data Link integration (e.g., Link 16, Link 22, VMF, JRE).
• High level of English proficiency (written and spoken).
• MBSE and agile methodologies are desirable.

About the Role

A new opportunity has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space. You will join a diverse, collaborative team operating in a dynamic and challenging environment, leading Tactical Data Links (Link 16, Link 22, VMF, JRE, etc.) integration activities across various Airbus aircraft platforms. In this role, you will cover the complete lifecycle of Data Link systems across multiple international programs and customer contracts.

Key Responsibilities

• System Design & Architecture: Define system functional and interoperability specifications, manage requirements, and oversee system design.
• Hardware & Interface Definition: Specify equipment hardware, installation requirements, and define system interfaces.
• Supplier & Vendor Management: Monitor supplier technical activities, validate engineering documentation, and maintain equipment configuration control.
• Testing & Problem Investigation: Analyze test results from rig and aircraft environments, investigate technical issues, and drive change proposals.
• Verification & Certification: Lead system qualification, verification, validation, and certification activities to support aircraft delivery.
• International Collaboration: Actively participate in international customer meetings, technical negotiations, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications & Key Competencies

• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in Tactical Data Link integration (e.g., Link 16, Link 22, VMF, JRE).
• Languages & Communication: High level of English proficiency (written and spoken) with strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Tools & Methodologies (Desirable): Requirements management tools (e.g., DOORS, Rhapsody).
• Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
• Agile methodology & Document Management Systems (DMS).
• Soft Skills: Collaborative mindset, curiosity, adaptiveness, and a strong eagerness to learn.
