Schneider Electric busca un System & Protection Test Engineer para unirse a nuestro equipo de ingeniería en Sevilla. Liderarás la validación de pruebas de hardware, software y soluciones de sistema para garantizar calidad, fiabilidad y rendimiento en automatización industrial y distribución eléctrica.

Se valora experiencia en pruebas de funciones de protección eléctrica (corriente, cortocircuito, tierra, direccional y coordinación), configuración de pruebas y uso de entornos SCADA/RTU.

Formación

• Experiencia en pruebas de sistemas industriales.
• Conocimientos en pruebas de hardware y software.
• Capacidad para analizar fallos y coordinar acciones correctivas.

Responsabilidades

• Ejecutar pruebas de hardware, software y soluciones del sistema a lo largo del ciclo de vida del producto.
• Probar funciones de protección eléctrica: sobrecorriente, cortocircuito, tierra, dirección y coordinación.
• Configurar, ejecutar y documentar pruebas funcionales, de integración y a nivel de sistema.
• Verificar protocolos de comunicación e interoperabilidad con RTUs y sistemas SCADA.
• Configurar productos según casos de uso de clientes y validar comportamiento del sistema.
• Analizar fallos, investigar causas raíz y apoyar a los equipos de ingeniería.
• Desarrollar y mejorar configuraciones de pruebas para aumentar la cobertura y la eficiencia.

System & Protection Test Engineer
Location: Hybrid / On-site (Sevilla)

About the Role

We are looking for a System & Protection Test Engineer to join our engineering team and ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our industrial automation and power distribution products.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute testing activities for hardware, software, and complete system solutions throughout the product lifecycle.
• Perform detailed testing of electrical protection functions, including:
• Overcurrent protection
• Short-circuit protection
• Earth fault protection
• Directional protection
• Protection coordination and selectivity
• Configure, execute, and document functional, integration, regression, and system-level tests.
• Verify communication protocols and interoperability with external devices, RTUs, SCADA systems, and customer infrastructures.
• Configure products according to customer use cases and validate system behavior under realistic operating conditions.
• Analyze failures, investigate root causes, and support engineering teams in identifying corrective actions.
• Develop and improve manual and automated test setups to increase test coverage and efficiency.
