What will you do?

You will play and test games, identifying linguistic bugs and reporting them via bug databases. Clear communication in English is essential for coordinating across global teams.

The role is full-time, Monday to Friday, starting at 9:00 am, onsite at our Madrid office located in Alvento Business Park, Vía de los Poblados, 1-3, 28033 Madrid.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring games and applications are linguistic bug-free for optimal user experience.
  • Checking in-game text for linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness.
  • Following Universally Speaking's established LQA processes and standards.
  • Using industry-standard bug databases to report issues thoroughly.
  • Owning the bug fixing process to ensure issues are resolved correctly.
  • Becoming an LQA expert across various projects, with potential specialization areas.
  • Managing, creating, and executing test cases throughout projects.
  • Participating in test requirement discussions with developers.
  • Proactively seeking improvements and efficiencies in work processes.
  • Collaborating with the QA team.

  • Quality, speed, and accuracy of bug reports.
  • Timely delivery of tasks.

  • Continuous learning of LQA workflows and techniques.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Swedish and proficiency in English.
  • Passion for video games.
  • Team player capable of working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
  • Proactive, persistent, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Attention to detail and quality focus.
  • Good computer skills, including MS Office Suite and database handling.
  • Legal right to work in Spain (no sponsorship available).

Preferred but not mandatory:

  • Experience in LQA, translation, or proofreading.
  • Familiarity with LQA tools and software (test case management, text editing).
  • Knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
  • Understanding of the video game industry and trends.
  • Higher degree in linguistics is a plus.
