An energy company in Madrid is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to develop and implement the end-to-end supply chain strategy for Spain and North Africa. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of supply chain experience, including 5 years in leadership roles, with expertise in logistics, procurement, and digital transformation. Supply Chain Manager / Madrid

Energy company based in Madrid is seeking talented professionals to join our dynamic team and fill the following position, contributing to innovative projects across Spain and North Africa.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement the end‑to‑end supply chain strategy for Spain & North Africa, aligning with the company’s long‑term goals and regional market dynamics.
  • Lead procurement, logistics, inventory management, and digital transformation initiatives, including automation, AI, and data analytics tailored to North African operational challenges.
  • Drive cost optimization, process efficiency and risk mitigation across procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, SLAs and supplier performance, focusing on local content compliance, cost efficiency and supplier diversity.
  • Ensure timely delivery, quality and compliance with local customs, import/export laws and HSE standards in Algeria, Libya and other North African countries.
  • Optimize logistics operations, transportation, warehousing and distribution across North Africa and coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers and local authorities.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, regional operations, finance, and external partners to align the supply chain with business needs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, logistics providers and industry stakeholders in North Africa and engage with local governments, regulatory bodies and community stakeholders.
  • Monitor KPIs, metrics and performance dashboards for procurement, logistics and inventory across the region, and conduct regular audits and risk assessments to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
  • Lead talent development, succession planning and compliance with local labor laws, customs regulations and HSE standards in each North African country.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 15+ years of supply chain experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Supply Chain Director, VP Supply Chain).
  • Proven track record in strategic sourcing, logistics, inventory optimization and digital transformation in Spain and/or North Africa.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas, energy, or industrial sector is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of North African business practices, customs regulations and local content laws.
  • Strong strategic planning, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Expertise in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle), data analytics and supply chain digital tools.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (mandatory). French and/or Arabic highly preferred for North African operations.
  • Compliance with local labor laws, customs regulations, and HSE standards in each North African country.
