Jobtailor seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead APQP4Wind and PPAP with suppliers, assessing processes for quality and capability.

You will drive resolution of supplier quality issues from pre‑production to post‑launch and serve as the technical authority for propulsion manufacturing processes, collaborating across functions.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Industrial, mechanical engineering, materials science, or related field.
• 5+ years in Manufacturing or Supplier Quality Engineering; experience with Blade materials or composites is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, supplier quality management, inspection methods and quality tools.
• Experience driving APQP/APQP4Wind and FMEAs.
• Lean and Six Sigma knowledge; SAP proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP4Wind) and Process Sign-Off (PPAP) for suppliers
• Assess and develop supplier manufacturing processes for quality, capacity, and capability
• Drive resolution of supplier‑related quality issues from pre‑production through post‑launch
• Serve as the technical authority for propulsion manufacturing processes
• Conduct supplier readiness reviews and launch support, including run‑at‑rate and PPAP validation
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive continuous improvement initiatives and quality alignment
• Contribute to and participate in Material Review Boards
• Contribute and participate in supplier performance reviews
• Contribute to establishment & driving Supplier Quality improvement goals
• Manage suppliers on an ongoing basis via regular contact, periodic audits and other methods to guarantee consistent high quality performance on an ongoing basis
• Provide technical support to the receiving inspection function
• Support Operations, Engineering, Program Management and other functional groups by providing trend analysis and root cause analysis investigations, corrective action recommendations
• Assist supplier with inspection validation during qualification phase, as required
• Lead Standardization projects/procedures between all functions in Nordex
• Establish common rules for performing supplier assessments and standardization

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/work experience) in Industrial, mechanical engineering, materials science, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience as a Manufacturing and/or Supplier Quality Engineer/specialist in qualifying suppliers for Blade materials, composites or related ISO9000/CQMS Lead/ Internal auditor qualification
• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), Supplier Quality Management, inspection methodologies, and quality improvement tools
• Solid knowledge and experience of driving APQP/ APQP4Wind, FMEAs
• Good understanding of Six Sigma & Lean methodology is preferred
• SAP proficiency is a plus
