Flowserve in Madrid region is seeking a Supplier Manager to lead strategic supplier relationships, develop supplier plans and coordinate with Category Management, BU and global functions to drive value.

The role requires up to 75% travel across Spain and the EMEA region, manage spend and supplier performance, lead quarterly reviews and ensure contract compliance, with a focus on risk mitigation and continuous improvement.

Formación

  • 7+ years of experience in Supply Chain

Responsabilidades

  • Develop supplier strategy plans in collaboration with Category Management and BU teams
  • Monitor spend and performance, propose changes to segmentation as needed
  • Lead Quarterly Business Reviews and ensure strategic alignment
  • Manage supplier relationships, performance, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with Supplier Development and Quality to manage risk
  • Coordinate escalations and ensure alignment of supplier load with business needs
  • Maintain governance and accurate supplier master data

Role Summary: The Supplier Manager is responsible for managing and optimizing supplier relationships with their assigned supplier portfolio to ensure quality, cost efficiency, strategy execution and risk mitigation.The position acts as a liaison between the suppliers they manage and the Category Management, Business Unit and Global functions as required. Uses structured processes and scorecards to monitor performance, drive improvements, coordinate strategic development, and align supplier contributions with strategic goals.Please note that the role required travels up to approximately 75%, within Spain and across the EMEA region.Your role:Using a combination of the defined Supplier Plans provided by the Category Management team, structured processes and scorecards available as well as inputs and escalations received from various internal stakeholders, the Supplier Manager is accountable forSupplier Strategy Planning & ExecutionDevelopment of the Supplier Plan in collaboration with the Category Management & BU teams ensuring direct support of the category strategy and business strategic projectsMonitor spend and performance in line with category segmentation and make recommendations for changes to Strategic & Tactical segmentation as necessaryEnsure compliance across all contractual agreements and supplier specific terms in alignment with Flowserve policies and proceduresSchedule and lead Quarterly Business Reviews / Strategic Business Reviews ensuring long-term strategy alignmentCoordinate strategic development activities, collaborating with Supplier Quality and Supplier Development where requiredReview spend trends and make recommendations to the business for opportunities to consolidate/contract spendSupplier Health ManagementManage supplier relationships, overall performance health, and continuous improvement initiativesMonitor and action supplier performance around competitiveness, delivery, quality (COPQ), and costCollaborate with Supplier Development and Supplier Quality to manage supplier risk, addressing and mitigating high risk criteria – including maintenance of risk elements in the SC Risk AppCoordinate with suppliers any escalations and risks as raised through the appropriate escalation channelsEnsure alignment between supplier load and capacity availability and business needs - propose alternative options in case of bottleneck.Ensure supplier relationship management through continual engagement, key stakeholders’ identification, open communication channels, and updated supplier master dataOperational SupportCoordinate with site or business unit leadership on managing escalations, through the appropriate escalation channelsProvide issue resolution support by coordinating appropriate global resourcesBusiness continuity and supplier responsivenessEnsure internal alignment between multiple business units and a shared supplier – including governance of compliance to agreed terms from both the Site & Supplier perspectiveMaintain a formal, structured governance through the escalated actions from MORsMAIN OBJECTIVESPertained to the assigned Suppliers to manage;Execute the Supplier PlanCoordinate strategic development projectsSupplier Scorecard Performance & drive mitigating actions where requiredEnsure Contractual Coverage and Contract Compliance for managedSupplier Risk Assessments for Globally ManagedSpend Consolidation based on strategic approachEscalation Coordination & ResolutionYour profile:7+ years of experience in Supply ChainStrong interpersonal, stakeholder collaboration & relationship managementEvidenced understanding of both commercial and technical areas of supply chainVery strong commercial acumen and negotiation skillsProficiency in Project ManagementKnowledge of supply base within the category area of operationUnderstanding of market dynamicsStrong analytical skills which involve collecting, analysing and interpreting dataCertified Supply Chain ProfessionalGeographically mobile for development opportunitiesAbility to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levelsWe offer variety of benefits alongside competitive salary.
