Job summary

Verda is building a full-stack AI cloud with Ceph-backed storage across multiple datacenters. You will lead the Storage team as Engineering Manager, owning people, delivery, and reliability for VM volumes, shared filesystems, and object storage.

Qualifications

• 3+ years managing infrastructure or software engineers, including hiring, performance management, and leading growth.
• 5+ years hands-on with distributed storage in production, ideally Ceph, including cluster lifecycle and maintenance.
• Solid grasp of block, file and object storage and their trade-offs and how storage interacts with the network.
• Linux systems and performance depth including storage networking and analysis.

Responsibilities

• Turn deep individual expertise into a mature, scalable Storage team.
• Own the team growth, hiring, onboarding, and career development.
• Set priorities, define front doors for requests, and drive multi-quarter storage projects to completion.
• Define durability and availability targets and manage on-call rotation and incident response.
