Scopely is seeking a Staff Backend Software Engineer to join an unannounced project in Barcelona, Spain. This role operates on a hybrid basis (3 days on-site per week) and offers visa sponsorship along with relocation support.

You will lead backend feature development for large-scale game systems, mentor engineers, review code, and work with cross-functional teams to design scalable architectures and a clear technical roadmap.

Formación

• Proven experience in backend software development for large-scale systems.
• Experience building highly available backend servers for MMO games or high-traffic apps.
• Proficiency with Go, Python and C#.
• Strong knowledge of microservices and cloud-native architecture.
• Experience with container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities in cross-functional teams.
• Ability to identify bottlenecks and propose technical strategies.
