Genese Solutions is seeking a hands-on SRE/DevOps engineer to ensure reliable, secure and efficient operation of public-cloud infrastructure and cloud-native apps. The role combines production operations, automation, observability, incident response, and collaboration with teams in China.

You will own day-to-day operations, maintain containerised apps, and design CI/CD pipelines while working onsite in Madrid or relocating.

Formación

• At least 3 years of experience in SRE, DevOps, cloud operations or related role.
• Hands-on Linux proficiency and solid networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).
• Production experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native apps.
• Experience with Prometheus and Grafana for observability.
• Experience designing/configuring automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Scripting in Python or Shell/Bash.
• Strong incident troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Understanding of GDPR and European data protection requirements.
• Fluent Mandarin and professional English.
• Willingness to work onsite in Madrid or relocate.

Responsabilidades

• Support production releases and optimize performance and resources.
• Collaborate daily in Mandarin with teams in China to align standards.
• Assist with migration, architecture optimisation and cloud-cost control.
• Ensure compliance with European data protection requirements.
• Participate in occasional on-call rotation for urgent incidents.

Role overview

The engineer will support reliable, secure and efficient operation of public-cloud infrastructure and cloud-native applications. The position combines production operations, automation, observability, incident response and collaboration with technical teams based in China.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operation, maintenance and technical governance of public-cloud infrastructure, including containers, virtual machines, storage and networking.
• Maintain the stability, security and standardisation of cloud platforms, databases, middleware and business applications.
• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting controlled and repeatable software releases.
• Operate and maintain Kubernetes-based, containerised and cloud-native applications in production environments.
• Build and maintain monitoring, dashboards, logging and alerting; investigate incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support production releases, troubleshoot performance or resource bottlenecks, and implement preventive improvements.
• Collaborate daily in Mandarin with technical teams in China to implement common infrastructure and operational standards.
• Support application migration, architecture optimisation, resource planning and cloud-cost optimisation.
• Ensure operations comply with applicable European data-protection and privacy requirements.
• Participate occasionally in an on-call rotation for urgent production incidents.

Required skills and experience

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in SRE, DevOps, cloud operations or a closely related role.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Linux and a good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and HTTP/HTTPS.
• Practical experience operating and maintaining Kubernetes in production environments.
• Experience with observability technologies such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Experience designing, configuring or maintaining automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in at least one scripting language, preferably Python or Shell/Bash.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and experience handling production incidents.
• Understanding of GDPR and European data-protection requirements.
• Fluent Mandarin Chinese and professional working proficiency in English.
• Ability to work primarily onsite in Madrid, or willingness to relocate there.

Advantageous experience

• GitOps or deployment tools such as Argo CD.
• Cloud-native gateway or reverse-proxy technologies such as Nginx, APISIX or Envoy.
• Message-queue or event-streaming technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or RocketMQ.
