Align Technology, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join the Clinical OPS Services team in the EMEA region.

The role focuses on improving product quality across cloud-based and desktop solutions, with most projects backed by automated tests and opportunities to build new automation from scratch. You will partner with multi-regional teams to drive QA excellence and ensure high reliability of Align’s software ecosystem.

Formación

• 5+ years as Software Engineer in Test or SQA Engineer
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related field
• Proficiency in Python and QA methodologies

Responsabilidades

• Ensure quality and reliability across projects in the development lifecycle
• Design, implement, and execute automated and manual testing strategies
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including PMs, product owners and developers
• Support test automation and build automation among cloud-based and desktop applications

Sr. Software Engineer in Test

Description

This position is ideal for senior level quality assurance professionals to join the Clinical OPS Services team as a Senior Software Engineer in Test, focusing on improving the quality of existing solutions and testing new innovative products and technologies. Partnering with cross-functional and multi-regional development teams, you’ll provide quality insights and testing expertise to enhance product reliability and support continuous improvement. This role is key to maintaining high standards across Align Technology’s software ecosystem and driving innovation through quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality and reliability of software products developed across a range of business-critical projects, maintaining high standards throughout the development lifecycle.
• Work with a diverse set of applications, including cloud-based and desktop solutions, primarily built using Python or C++.
• Design, implement, and execute both manual and automated testing strategies. While most projects are covered by automated tests (~90%), some require building automation from scratch, making test automation a key focus area.
• Collaborate intensively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, product owners, business analysts, developers, DevOps engineers, and other QA professionals across multiple teams and domains.
• Utilize and support a technology stack that includes:
  • Python for scripting and automation
  • AWS for cloud infrastructure and services
  • Power BI for data visualization and reporting
  • Various databases (SQL and NoSQL) for data validation and backend testing
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing to the evolution of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
• Maintain clear documentation of test plans, test cases, and test results to ensure traceability and transparency.
• Proactively identify risks and issues, and work with stakeholders to resolve them early in the development cycle.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields.
• English B2 level (intermediate) or higher.
• 5+ years as a Software Engineer in Test or SQA Engineer.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Knowledge of QA approaches and practices.
• Knowledge and experience with Software Development Life Cycle frameworks and methodologies.
• Basic knowledge of SQL.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
