Formación

  • Solid experience in the Medical Affairs function within a pharmaceutical company is essential.

The position

Reporting to our Cardiometabolic Medical Affairs Director you will facilitate the in‑field execution of the Medical Affairs strategy to position Novo Nordisk as the preferred partner in Diabetes and Obesity for Health Care Professionals. You will play a key role in fostering the cross‑functional collaboration in the field, contributing to company success and making an impact on patient lives.

But you won’t do it alone; you will lead, manage and develop an outstanding team of 6 Regional Medical Advisors and you will be fully aligned and connected with the other field team to define the best implementation and best practices.

Some of your responsibilities will be to :

  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans for our products in collaboration with other cross‑functional teams ensuring the best possible implementation. Elevate the voice of the field‑medical team to integrate insights into strategy and Medical plans.
  • Manage, coordinate and execute the Regional Medical Plan (Medical Education Publication Plan and Clinical Activities) with the Health Care Professionals (HCPs) assigned, aligned with the company strategy for our products.
  • Foster effective collaboration between the field medical team and sales teams to enhance scientific engagement; define healthcare professional targets and adapt strategies based on business needs ensuring collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
  • Empower each team member to effectively translate business priorities into operational plans and actions as well as promote people development through soft and hard skills acquisition.
  • Build and optimize effective relationships with HCPs & KOLs and participate in regional and national meetings, conferences and congresses.

Your new department

The Field Medical Affairs team within the Medical Affairs Department at Novo Nordisk Spain is dedicated to advancing the company’s mission of improving the lives of people with chronic diseases by providing healthcare professionals with the latest scientific information and insights on Novo Nordisk’s innovative therapies. They engage with key opinion leaders and healthcare providers to enhance understanding and facilitate discussions that lead to better patient management and health outcomes. By gathering valuable field insights the team informs internal stakeholders about evolving medical needs, ensuring that Novo Nordisk’s offerings align with the needs of healthcare professionals and patients alike.

Your skills and qualifications
  • Bachelors degree in Health Sciences
  • Solid experience in the Medical Affairs function within a pharmaceutical company, ideally with experience in roles close to the medical field force.
  • Previous people management experience is required for this role, as well as strong experience driving cross‑functional projects and initiatives with demonstrated success in collaboration and functional leadership.
  • Knowledge or experience in the cardiometabolic arena will be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Availability to travel.
