A leading translation services provider is seeking a Spanish to English AI Translation Reviewer. The ideal candidate will have expertise in translation, reviewing both academic and non-academic texts to ensure accuracy and contextual clarity. Applicants can have a degree in Translation or significant professional experience. This is a freelance contract position based in Spain.

Formación

• A degree in Translation or equivalent with significant training.
• Two years of professional experience in translation.
• Five years of comprehensive professional experience in translation.

Responsabilidades

• Revise incorrect terminology and improve readability.
• Ensure clarity and appropriateness of tone in translations.

CACTUS, provides translation services to help ESL (English-as-a-second-language) researchers communicate their science to the global scientific community. We are currently looking for skilled translators to work with us on a freelance basis.

Job description :

We are seeking experienced translators with strong subject matter expertise to review content translated using AI. This includes both academic manuscripts and non-academic material originally written in various languages. In this role, you will evaluate AI-generated translations to ensure they are accurate, fluent, and meet high linguistic and contextual standards in native-level English or the target language.

Key responsibilities :

Ensure that the AI-generated text accurately conveys the meaning of the source manuscriptIdentify and revise any incorrect terminology, unclear phrases, or convoluted sentence structuresEnhance the fluency, grammar, and readability of the translated outputCompare the AI translation with the original text to identify and correct missing or mistranslated contentDeliver final outputs that are clear, natural, and reflect the appropriate tone in English or the target language, whether academic or non-academic

Requirements : Applicants must meet

any one

of the following criteria :

A degree in Translation or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training from a recognized institutionA graduate (or higher) degree in any other field from a recognized institution of higher education plus two years of comprehensive professional experience in translationFive years of comprehensive professional experience in translation
