Formación

The mission of the Sous Chef position is to:
  • Maintain product quality standards and provide an excellent customer experience.
  • Ensure work processes and procedures are followed in accordance with the organization’s operational policies, together with the Head Chef.
Responsibilities and duties
  • Product pre-preparation (mise en place) and dish preparation (service), based on the outlet’s menu.
  • Management of the pass during service.
  • Ensure proper care, storage, and efficient use of products and/or raw materials.
  • Ensure the setup, service, and breakdown of services and/or events.
  • Monitor kitchen equipment and tools, reporting any related issues or incidents.
  • Place orders and manage stock levels and kitchen inventories.
  • Comply with HACCP policies and ensure team compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, following service quality standards and ensuring team compliance.
  • Organize team tasks and provide training.
  • Collaborate in departmental innovation by contributing ideas and techniques that help improve service quality and achieve outlet results.
Hard Skills required for the position
  • Training related to the vacant position.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the position.
  • Experience and/or internships in a Michelin-starred restaurant is a plus.
  • Knowledge of hygiene and workplace safety regulations.
  • Availability to work Monday to Sunday in 8-hour rotating shifts (2 to 3 split shifts per week may occur).
