Descripción del empleo

ANYbotics is a fast-growing tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics across multiple industries. Join our highly talented and motivated team of more than 200 people and work on cutting-edge robot technology.

The Opportunity

As our Solutions Architect, you will act as the senior industry expert bridging the gap between our autonomous robotic technology and the Power & Utilities sector, and more broadly the maintenance, reliability and asset performance communities of asset-intensive industries. This is a highly visible, strategic role designed for a visionary who thrives on customer engagement, executive networking, and shaping product roadmaps – offering the thrill of a sales-focused environment without the pressure of a quota.

You are the counterpart, in the Product Management organization, to our Key Account Managers. While the Account Manager develops and maintains a high-touch relationship with the customer, identifies key decision-makers and devises the account penetration strategy, you deliver the solution required to fulfil the customer engagement: you aggregate and synthesize the current and future ANYbotics product stack (robot platform, operational design domain, inspection payloads, data insights, data lake integration, APM/CMMS systems integration) into cohesive technical solutions, complete with the business models and contractual frameworks tailored to our top-priority accounts. This role is central to our Go-To-Market strategy, centered on project sales and deeper, more focused engagements with key accounts.

You will define high-impact use cases, orchestrate business value engineering, and mentor our internal teams. If you are passionate about driving product vision and enjoy travelling to connect directly with industry leaders, this role offers unparalleled impact.

The Market & Our Technology

ANYbotics is a tech company dedicated to shaping the future of mobile robotics through Embodied AI across multiple industries. Our autonomous quadruped robots, like ANYmal, are redefining safety and productivity in the world’s most demanding environments – from offshore oil rigs to chemical plants, power plants, substations, utilities and other complex industrial sectors. We provide an end-to-end solution that combines cutting-edge autonomy, high-value data analytics and mechanical engineering excellence, enabling the autonomous inspection and monitoring of large-scale facilities, increasing safety while maximizing uptime for the world’s most critical infrastructure.

This creates an interesting commercial environment. Our deals do not stop when a contract is signed: orders have downstream implications across Finance and Operations and ultimately lead to the delivery and deployment of physical technology, integrated with customer systems, at customer sites.

About Us

ANYbotics is a leading robotics company developing autonomous mobile robots for industrial inspection. Headquartered in Zurich and with a growing international presence, our team brings together expertise across robotics, software, hardware, product, operations and commercial functions. As our customer base and commercial organization scale, we are investing in the processes and capabilities needed to support that growth – this role is one of them.

Your Contributions
  • Architect vertical solutions. Design tailored solutions and define compelling use cases for the Power & Utilities industry, synthesising robotics, inspection payloads and data insights into solutions that integrate seamlessly into customer workflows and systems (APM, CMMS/EAM, historians, DCS/SCADA). Build the supporting business models and contractual frameworks needed to deliver turnkey value.
  • Quantify customer outcomes. Lead business value engineering: build robust business cases with quantitative ROI (avoided downtime, exposure hours, inspection cost, integrity risk) and qualitative benefits, and articulate clearly the tangible business benefits of our autonomous inspection solutions.
  • Partner with executives and the Commercial team. Work closely with prospect and customer executives to drive strategic alignment, lead customer discovery and value engineering workshops, and act as the consultative product partner to Key Account Managers on complex, multi-stakeholder deals.
  • Enable Go-to-Market excellence. Develop and deliver sales enablement toolkits – vertical positioning, use-case catalogues, competitive intelligence, reference architectures and training – so the Commercial team can articulate our value and win in your vertical.
  • Evangelize our technology. Represent ANYbotics within the partner ecosystem (APM/EAM software vendors, engineering and service partners), lead professional sessions at industry events, and engage with independent analysts (e.g. Gartner).
  • Shape the roadmap. Bring deep industry insights to product marketing and product management; identify emerging value drivers and work directly with Product Managers and R&D to embed your market vision in the technical roadmap.
  • Mentor. Share critical industry knowledge with the business value consulting team and coach younger engineers and account teams.
Your Profile
  • Experience: At least 15 years of hands‑on industry experience in Maintenance or Reliability Engineering, with a strong Asset Performance Management (APM) background, gained within Power & Utilities and/or other asset‑heavy industries (Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Metals, high‑volume Manufacturing). You have lived the reality of maintenance strategies, integrity programmes and reliability improvement inside operating plants.
  • Interdisciplinary Background: A well‑balanced background bridging software, APM and maintenance; this is not a pure hardware or automation engineering role. A strong understanding of how automated inspection, control and maintenance systems (mobile robotics, IoT, DCS/SCADA, CMMS, APM) fit into complex industrial workflows.
  • Customer and deal leadership: Proven ability to lead complex customer discovery, navigate executive‑level conversations and contribute heavily to major deals; a sharp observer of customer personas and pain points.
  • Financial and contractual fluency: Comfortable building business cases, navigating pricing models and handling the business and contractual nuances of technical partnerships and strategic agreements.
  • Executive communication and influence: Excellent written and oral communication skills; able to translate complex technical concepts into high‑value narratives for audiences ranging from R&D engineers to C‑suite executives, and to motivate internal stakeholders without formal authority.
  • Cross‑functional collaboration: Strong collaboration skills, particularly in partnering with product managers, product marketing and the Commercial organization.
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related).
  • Grit and mobility: A self‑starter who thrives in the fast‑paced environment of a scaling deep‑tech company, with high enthusiasm for significant travel (30–40%+) to engage directly with customers, prospects and industry networks.
Bonus Points
  • Previous experience as a Solutions Architect, Pre‑Sales Engineer, Product Manager, Business Value Consultant or Reliability Engineer.
  • Hands‑on experience with leading APM/EAM platforms (e.g. GE Vernova APM, AVEVA, Bentley, IBM Maximo, SAP PM/IAM, Hexagon) and their integration patterns.
  • Certifications such as CMRP, CRE, API 510/570/580, or equivalent reliability and integrity credentials.
  • Experience deploying automated or robotic inspection programmes in industrial environments.

We offer you a very exciting and dynamic work environment, the opportunity to become part of a fast‑growing company and an ambitious team that is on a mission to change the industrial inspection market, a chance to leverage your experience and bring in your own ideas, a fair market salary, an attractive employee stock ownership plan, and a job in the city of Zurich.
