A leading renewable energy company in Spain is seeking an experienced professional to join their wind turbine control validation team. The role involves programming automated tests for a real-time environment, creating technical documentation, and optimizing validation processes. Ideal candidates should have a degree in engineering, excellent Python skills, and knowledge of HiL-Testing. Formación

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, information technology, or automation technology.
  • Experience with HiL-Testing and very good knowledge of Python.
  • Knowledge of another programming language like Groovy/Java is desirable.
  • Good knowledge of general electrical engineering concepts.

Descripción del empleo

The wind turbine control validation team at Nordex is responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of the automated tests of all wind turbine software products developed by Nordex. This team thus ensures that all requirements from software development or practical experience are taken into account in the future development of wind turbines and wind farms.

YOUR TASKS
  • Programming of automated tests for a real-time HIL test environment
  • Creating and reviewing technical documentation and test specifications
  • Automate tests with the help of a test sequencer (Exam MicroNova)
  • Performing and analysis of software tests for quality assurance around automation technology in wind turbines
  • Further development of an automated measurement data analysis
  • Configure and deploy real-time simulation systems for test exécution
  • Detection of new validation use cases/scenarios
  • Optimization of the validation environments and acceleration of the validation process
YOUR PROFILE
  • Completed degree in electrical engineering / information technology / automation technology
  • Experience with HiL-Testing and very good knowledge of the Python programming language
  • Knowledge of another programming language such as Groovy /Java desirable as well as experience with data analysis
  • Good knowledge of general electrical engineering and ideally basic knowledge of the applicable network connection guidelines
  • Knowledge of Ethernet technology, bus systems and real-time simulation systems
  • Ideally certified software tester according to ISTQB combined with experience with Atlassian Jira
  • Independent, conscientious and systematic way of working, coupled with strong communication and teamwork skills and intercultural competence
  • Language skills English (very good written and spoken), ideally skills in Spanish and German
  • Availability to travel.
