Job summary

Grifols is seeking a Software QA Engineer to join its international team in Parets del Vallès. The role focuses on ensuring quality, reliability and compliance of blood typing analyser software through manual and automated testing.

You will collaborate with developers, execute diverse test types, document defects, and maintain testing documentation in a rapidly evolving, FDA-regulated environment. Hybrid work schedule is available.

Qualifications

• CFGS or degree in CS/Telecommunications or related field.
• 1–3 years of software quality and testing experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java or JavaScript.
• Experience with Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, Cucumber or Gherkin.
• Strong teamwork and English communication (B2).
• Experience in agile/scrum and FDA-regulated environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to plan and refine upcoming work.
• Execute and maintain manual and automated test plans for blood typing analyser applications following quality policies.
• Identify and document bugs.
• Participate in functional, regression, smoke, exploratory and acceptance testing.
• Create and maintain technical documentation per quality standards.

Mission

To ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of blood typing analyzer software applications by executing and maintaining testing activities, identifying and documenting defects, and collaborating closely with development teams to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

• Collaborate with the development team to plan and refine upcoming work.
• Execute and maintain manual and automatic test plans for blood typing analyser applications following the established quality policies and standards.
• Identify and document bugs.
• Participate in various types of testing, including functional, regression, smoke, exploratory and acceptance.
• Create and maintain the technical documentation following the established quality policies and standards.

• You have a Certificate of Higher Education (CFGS), a degree or master in Computer Science, Telecommunications or other relevant degree.
• You have at least 1-3 year of experience in software quality & testing.
• Hands-on experience with Java or JavaScript (typescript and no typescript).
• Experience with any of the following frameworks will be highly valued: Selenium, Playwright, Rest Assured, Cucumber, or Gherkin.
• You are highly motivated to work collaboratively with the team to deliver a high quality product to our customers.
• You are an open minded, positive, pragmatic and a team player.
• Can communicate openly and clearly in English (B2 level).
• Having experience working in an agile/scrum environment is a plus
• Having experience working in FDA regulated environments is a plus.
