Bending Spoons in Madrid is inviting outstanding students based in Spain for a summer internship running from June to September 2027. You’ll own real work that reaches customers and learn at a rate that's hard to match elsewhere.

You’ll build software that matters, amplify impact with AI, master a range of tools from monoliths to microservices, and simplify architectures for better scalability and maintainability.

This internship is for outstanding students based in Spain and runs from June to September 2027. You’ll own real work that reaches customers and learn at a rate that’s hard to match elsewhere.

A few examples of your responsibilities

• Build software that matters. Take real ownership from idea to production, creating systems used by millions and evolving them into products at scale.
• Amplify your impact with AI. Integrate the most powerful AI tools directly into your development workflow—design, implementation, testing, and documentation—to move faster while maintaining high standards for correctness, reliability, and maintainability.
• Master your toolkit. Work across diverse stacks with end-to-end ownership, choosing the right technologies for each challenge. From monoliths to microservices, gRPC to REST, Kubernetes to Docker, Python to Rust—you’ll apply technologies thoughtfully, focusing on depth and purpose rather than trends.
• Simplify relentlessly. Question every layer of complexity. Improve architectures, pipelines, and codebases to build systems that are simpler, more scalable, and easier to maintain.

• Competitive pay and access to company equity at a discount. Typical annual salary offers range from £85,797 to £151,436 in London and from €66,065 to €107,837 elsewhere in Europe. The lower end of these ranges applies to candidates with little or no relevant experience, while exceptionally experienced candidates may receive offers of up to £316,052 in London or €240,330 elsewhere in Europe. Candidates offered a permanent contract may choose to receive part of their compensation in discounted company equity.

In our screening process, we prioritize verifiable signals of excellence, regardless of seniority. There are no preferential paths beyond what your application demonstrates, and we evaluate every candidate through the same process.

After that, you’re welcome to work from one of our offices, or remotely from approved countries—depending on what we agree at the offer stage.
