Pluxee España en Gijón busca un Senior Backend Engineer para unirse al Payments Squad y liderar la ingeniería del motor de pagos. Trabajarás en sistemas resilientes, distribuidos y orientados a la precisión de transacciones, con foco en calidad y observabilidad.

Se valorará experiencia en Node.js/TypeScript, Docker y Kubernetes, así como uso de IA para acelerar desarrollo y automatizar tareas. Se requiere dominio de español e inglés y capacidad de trabajar en un entorno multinacional.

Formación

• Más de 5 años de experiencia en desarrollo de aplicaciones en producción.
• Experiencia en Node.js/TypeScript.
• Conocimiento de sistemas distribuidos, idempotencia y brokers de mensajes.
• Mentalidad de IA para desarrollo y automatización.
• Dominio de español e inglés.

Responsabilidades

• Diseñar servicios backend resilientes para alto volumen y consistencia de datos.
• Evolucionar arquitecturas distribuidas a event-driven.
• Pruebas exhaustivas (unitarias, integración, aceptación) y pruebas de carga.
• Observabilidad y monitoreo de servicios en producción.
• Liderazgo técnico: revisiones de código y mentoría.
• Utilizar herramientas de IA para acelerar ciclos de desarrollo.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

• Design for Resilience: Build and optimize robust backend services capable of handling high-volume traffic while ensuring 100% data consistency and system reliability.
• Evolve Distributed Architectures: Understand the complexities of existing systems and evolve them into scalable, event-driven architectures to meet future global product requirements.
• High-Stakes Quality: In Payments, there is no room for error. You will be responsible for comprehensive testing (unit, integration, and acceptance) as well as advanced load and performance simulations.
• Operational Excellence & Observability: Monitor service health in production, using observability tools to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks or anomalies.
• Technical Leadership: Share your expertise through deep code reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and documenting engineering standards that elevate the entire squad.
• AI-Driven Execution : Actively leverage AI tools and coding assistants on a daily basis to accelerate development cycles, automate repetitive tasks, and optimize overall team processes and delivery speed.

Our Technical Stack

• Backend Core: Node.js (TypeScript), NestJS (or similar frameworks).
• Data & State: MongoDB (Atlas), Redis for caching and distributing locking and PosgreSQL for our ledger database
• Infrastructure: Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab CI/CD (deploying multiple times daily).
• Observability: Sentry and Datadog/New Relic for real-time monitoring.
• AI & Productivity: GitHub Copilot, Claude Sonnet, ChatGPT, and other GenAI assistants.
• Collaboration: GitHub, GitLab, Slack, JIRA, Notion.
• (Note: You will collaborate closely with our React/React Native teams, but your focus will be 100% Backend).

You are a match

• Proven Senior Expertise: 5+ years of experience developing production-grade applications. Experience within the Node.js ecosystem will be a plus.
• Distributed Systems Mastery: Deep understanding of race conditions, eventual consistency, idempotency, and message brokers.
• The \"Payments Mindset\": experience with banking systems, payment gateways (Stripe, Adyen, etc.), ledger systems, or reconciliation processes will be a plus.
• AI-Empowered Developer : A strong inclination to lean on AI tools for problem-solving, code generation, and workflow optimization, always looking for ways to work smarter and improve team efficiency.
• Problem-Solving DNA: A systematic approach to troubleshooting complex issues in high-concurrency environments.
• Quality First: Extensive experience with automated testing patterns and a \"shift-left\" security mindset.
• Growth Mindset: A passion for continuous learning, open to feedback, and a drive to help others improve their craft.
• Spanish & English fluency.
