Siemens Digital Industries Software in Barcelona offers a UI Automation & QA Engineering internship within the Strategic Student Program. Join a global team to work on Simcenter STAR‑CCM+ quality assurance, automate UI tests, and collaborate across borders.

The role is designed for final-year students or recent graduates in Mechanical, Aerospace, CS or related fields. It is a hybrid, part‑time position with 20–35 hours per week, starting 1 November 2026, and a paid monthly contribution of €800.

Formación

• Final-year student or recent graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience in CFD/CAE industry.
• Experience with CAD packages: NX, CATIA, Creo.
• Programming knowledge: Java, C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with UI automation tools like Playwright or Squish.
• Fluent Spanish and sufficient English for technical documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Developing UI-based automation and documenting test scenarios to verify software products and releases.
• Testing products, documenting and communicating results to ensure functionality and performance goals.
• Detailed reporting of software defects and communicating risks to leads for prompt resolution.

Role Overview: UI Automation & QA Engineering

Our Simcenter STAR‑CCM+ Quality Assurance team ensures that our powerful integrated solutions for CAD/CAM/CAE meet the highest functionality and performance goals. You will contribute to the UI automation and maintenance of Simcenter STAR‑CCM+, supporting global application teams.

You will contribute to activities such as:

• Developing UI‑based automation and documenting test scenarios to verify software products and releases.
• Testing products, documenting and communicating results to ensure functionality and performance goals are met.
• Detailed reporting of software defects, communicating risks to leads, and following up with stakeholders for prompt resolution.
• Developing automated testing procedures and programs to enhance certification efforts.
• Collaborating effectively with a globally dispersed, cross‑functional team.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for students in their final year of study, students completing their bachelor's or master's thesis, or recent graduates in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical disciplines.

Required Skills:

• Academic or professional experience in the CFD / CAE industry.
• Experience with commercial CAD packages (e.g., NX, CATIA, Creo).
• Programming knowledge in Java, C++, or Python.
• Familiarity with UI automation tools like Playwright or Squish.
• Fluent Spanish and sufficient English for technical documentation.

SSP Spain 2026–2027: Conditions & Eligibility

• Duration: 6 months, starting 1st November 2026.
• Workload: Part‑time, 20 to 35 hours per week (depending on university requirements).
• Compensation: Paid internship. The monthly internship contribution is €800.
• Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled at a university in Spain for the full duration of the internship. Curricular and extracurricular internships are accepted (e.g., FUE). International students must hold the appropriate visa and/or work authorisation, as Siemens cannot sponsor or facilitate immigration processes for internships.
