Job summary

Institute of Space Sciences (ICE-CSIC) is offering Software Engineer positions to join a team developing control software for astronomical instrumentation and telescopes, supporting the CTAO project with scheduling and analysis tools.

The successful candidate will contribute to the JSP/optimization work, with emphasis on C++/CMake, Linux environments, and GitLab workflows, while engaging with international collaborators.

Qualifications

• Degree in Software Engineering or related with an official master (or older degree equivalent to current master).
• English proficiency allowing international interaction is a must.

Responsibilities

• Develop control software for operation and control of astronomical instrumentation and telescopes.
• Support development of scheduling and analysis software tools for the CTAO control infrastructure.
• Contribute to AI optimization and scheduling algorithms as part of the JSP/CTAO project.
