A Renewable Energy company is seeking a Software Engineer to work remotely in Europe, with occasional travel to sites. This six month contract may extend, with potential for permanency. Responsibilities include software design, development, testing, client support, and documentation in line with supervisor guidance.

The role requires strong analytical thinking, experience with QA testing, and familiarity with bus protocols such as CAN, Modbus, Serial Bus and MQTT. OCPP knowledge is a plus.

Formación

• Experience with software testing (manual QA) in projects.
• Ability to read and analyse logs from software systems.
• Familiarity with bus communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Serial Bus, MQTT).
• Ability to read technical standards and apply requirements.
• Knowledge of OCPP protocol is an advantage.

Responsabilidades

• Introduction and implementation of new projects from assignment through handover to production.
• Design, develop and test software according to client requirements.
• Test and troubleshoot identified issues in software applications.
• Provide technical support to clients and document projects.
• Prepare project and technical documentation per supervisor instructions.

My client is a well established company in the Renewable Energy Sector.

We are looking for a Software Engineer to be based remotely in Europe, will be required to travel to site occasionally so must be a resident of country living in or an EU citizen so free to travel inside EU. This a 6 month extendable contract to start asap with possibility to go permanent at a later date.

Project Engineer – Junior/Mid Level Software Engineer

• Introduction and implementation of new projects from initial assignment through to handover to the production process, in accordance with the supervisor’s instructions
• Application of computer science and mathematical knowledge in software design, development, and testing
• Software development according to client requirements
• Software testing and troubleshooting/debugging of identified issues
• Provision of technical support to clients
• Preparation of project and technical documentation for new projects according to the supervisor’s instructions
• Monitoring project progress and schedules, including supervision of work quality during project ramp-up
• Close cooperation with project stakeholders and customers
• Technical preparation of production, including processing, communication, implementation, and execution of production and quality procedures and related documentation within assigned manufacturing projects
• Management and resolution of non-conforming materials and customer complaints caused by production activities, including planning and implementation of preventive measures to avoid non-conformities and customer complaints
• Management, communication, and implementation of production, engineering, and quality records within assigned manufacturing projects
• Management and updating of technical and technological data in the employer’s database system in accordance with company procedures and requirements
• Participation in project department meetings and other relevant meetings in accordance with company procedures
• Coordination of production and engineering activities during the launch of new projects with other departments, suppliers, and customers
• Support of internal and external partners within the supplier-customer chain, within the assigned production and engineering responsibilities, to achieve agreed delivery performance xcskxlj and quality targets
• Cooperation in the development of products within assigned projects and implementation of engineering change results related to customer requirements, technical production preparation, objectives, procedures, standards, and production capacity
• Experience with software testing (manual QA)
• Ability to read and analyse logs
• Experience with bus communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Serial Bus, MQTT, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret technical standards and apply their requirements in practice
• Knowledge of the OCPP communication protocol is an advantage
• Strong technical and analytical thinking, with a focus on identifying root causes rather than merely addressing symptoms
