Ormco is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Madrid to join a global team building the Spark™ Clear Aligners platform. You will work on a sophisticated workflow platform supporting order, design, and manufacturing, combining C++, 3D technologies, and modern web capabilities (WASM).

You will collaborate with product owners to refine features, contribute to architecture, and help bring desktop-like browser capabilities to the web while advancing testing practices across the stack.

Formación

• Strong experience with C++ development.
• Exposure to WebAssembly is a strong plus.
• Understanding of Git, CI and collaboration.
• In-depth testing practices: unit and integration tests.

Responsabilidades

• Build web-based workflows on top of a 3D orthodontic platform.
• Help evolve the web platform by bringing desktop capabilities to the browser (WASM).
• Collaborate with a global cross-functional team of engineers and PMs.
• Contribute to solution design, architecture and innovation.
• Refine features with Product Managers to deliver value.

As a Software Development Engineer, you’ll work on a sophisticated platform that supports the entire workflow — from order to design to manufacturing — combining C++, 3D technologies, and modern web capabilities.

What you’ll be working on

• Building web-based workflows and user-facing capabilities on top of a sophisticated 3D orthodontic platform
• Contributing to the evolution of our web platform by bringing desktop capabilities to the browser through WebAssembly and developing new workflow-driven features.
• Collaborating with a global, cross-functional team of engineers and product experts
• Contributing to solution design, architecture, and innovation
• Working closely with Product Managers to refine features and deliver value

What we’re looking for

• Strong experience with C++ development. Exposure to WebAssembly (WASM) is a strong plus, and you’ll have the opportunity to deepen this expertise on the project.
• Solid understanding of software development workflows (Git, CI, collaboration)
• Solid testing practices (unit + integration tests)
• Good English communication skills (B2+)

Nice to have

• Experience with 3D geometry / computational algorithms
• Familiarity with CGAL or similar libraries
• Experience with AWS or cloud-based execution of applications
• Interest in AI-assisted tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot)
