HBX Group is seeking a Software Developer to join our engineering team. You will work on large-scale distributed systems, design, develop and deliver high-quality software solutions that power our global travel marketplace.

You will collaborate with product owners and architects, focusing on performance, reliability, scalability and security, while contributing to continuous improvement and best practices in a fast-paced, international environment.

Formación

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience, ideally in high-transaction environments.
• Strong proficiency in .NET Core and C#.
• Professional knowledge of NodeJS and Angular.
• Experience with SQL Server and NoSQL databases.
• Experience developing and consuming APIs (REST/SOAP) using JSON/XML.
• Experience with TDD/BDD using xUnit or NUnit.
• Familiarity with CI tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins or GoCD.
• Understanding the full SDLC from requirements to production support.

The Role

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build and enhance products that support our global business, while continuously improving performance, reliability, scalability, and security across our platforms.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Software Developer, you will be involved throughout the software development lifecycle, including:

• Refining user stories and defining clear acceptance criteria.
• Designing, developing, testing, and delivering features aligned with business requirements.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of code quality, development standards, and engineering practices.
• Identifying opportunities to automate processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Supporting and enhancing production systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Architects, and fellow engineers to deliver innovative solutions.
• Contributing to system performance, resilience, scalability, and security initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Experience & Skills

• Minimum 5 years of commercial software development experience, ideally within an e-commerce or high-transaction environment.
• Strong proficiency in .NET (Core) and C#.
• Professional knowledge on NodeJS and Angular
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, such as SQL Server and modern NoSQL solutions.
• Solid understanding of software engineering best practices, design patterns, and principles for building scalable and maintainable distributed systems.
• Experience developing and consuming APIs (REST and/or SOAP) using formats such as JSON and XML.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) using frameworks such as xUnit or NUnit.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as TeamCity, Jenkins, GoCD, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle from requirements through to production support.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working within Agile development environments.
• Experience collaborating with distributed or geographically dispersed teams.
• Understanding of low-latency, high-concurrency, distributed systems and the challenges associated with building them.
• Experience developing cloud-native applications.
• Hands‑on knowledge of a major cloud platform such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
