We offer a role with responsibility, independence, and the opportunity to contribute proactively while working in a collaborative environment with room for continuous learning and professional growth.

Start your career with the Strategic Student Program (SSP)

The Strategic Student Program (SSP) is our global internship program at Siemens Digital Industries Software. You will be mentored by experienced professionals, gain practical experience on real customer projects, and work with cutting‑edge technologies that support the digital transformation of manufacturing industries.

As an SSP intern, you will join an international student community, access structured learning through the Siemens Learning Hub, receive ongoing coaching, and contribute to meaningful projects within a global and diverse engineering team.

What you’ll be doing as part of the PLM/MOM team in Spain

Our PLM and MOM consulting teams help customers implement Siemens software solutions such as Teamcenter, Opcenter and RD&L to manage engineering, manufacturing and product lifecycle processes.

As Artificial Intelligence becomes an increasingly important part of enterprise software, our team is exploring how AI can improve engineering productivity, software implementation, technical documentation, knowledge management and project delivery.

This internship offers the opportunity to help drive that transformation while learning from experienced Solution Architects and Implementation Consultants.

You will contribute to activities such as:

  • Supporting the adoption of Siemens AI tools and Microsoft 365 Copilot within engineering projects.
  • Assisting Solution Architects with software configuration and prototyping activities in Teamcenter, Opcenter and RD&L.
  • Developing automation scripts for documentation, testing and engineering workflows.

  • Exploring Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) techniques and semantic search over engineering documentation.
  • Preparing and transforming technical data for AI-assisted analysis.
  • Supporting the development of Teamcenter AI prototypes.
  • Creating practical documentation, prompt libraries and best practices to encourage AI adoption across the team.

Examples of projects include AI-powered knowledge assistants, requirements engineering automation for Polarion, automated generation of test documentation, AI-enabled engineering dashboards, data engineering pipelines, PLM validation assistants, Docker-based AI environments, and integrations with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams and Outlook.

  • Basic understanding of object‑oriented programming (Java, C# or C++ is an advantage).
  • Interest in AI APIs, prompt engineering and large language models.
  • Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of RAG concepts, embeddings or vector databases is a plus.
  • Experience with Streamlit, FastAPI, React or similar frameworks is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Docker Compose and Linux/WSL environments.
