Scopely is seeking a creative Social Media Manager to lead Pokémon GO’s European presence, driving growth and engagement across key regional channels while aligning with local marketing teams to culturally resonate campaigns.

You will translate trends into authentic content, manage cross-functional collaboration, and deliver compelling campaigns for Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences with a data-driven approach.

We’re looking for a creative and culturally fluent Social Media Manager to lead and grow Pokémon GO’s presence across Europe, as well as executing different aspects of our global social media initiatives. This person will drive social growth & engagement, align with local marketing teams to culturalize campaigns, and help shape the global narrative of Pokémon GO across key regional audiences through market-specific activations.

Responsibilities


  • Lead Pokémon GO’s European social media strategy and execution, managing day-to-day content planning, publishing, and performance tracking for key regional channels.

  • Collaborate closely with regional teams to define local social goals, align on seasonal priorities, and adapt global strategies to resonate within each market.

  • Work cross-functionally across global teams, ensuring alignment between Europe priorities and broader Pokémon GO global campaigns.

  • Build, stage, and launch engaging social media campaigns that celebrate in-game events, community milestones, and new feature releases.

  • Develop campaign briefs with local market input, ensuring creative direction, tone, and messaging reflect cultural nuances and local Trainer communities.

  • Oversee asset direction and approval processes with internal teams, regional teams, and external agencies / vendors, ensuring timely delivery and brand consistency.

  • Monitor European and global social trends, particularly those influencing Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences, and translate them into relevant creative executions.

  • Analyze regional social performance and player sentiment, using insights to optimize content strategies and inform future campaign planning.

  • Prepare social performance reports in partnership with regional teams, surfacing learnings, recommendations, and best practices.

  • Contribute to global social workstreams, including excluding creative deliverables to bring to life Pokémon GO’s global creative strategy.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members and stakeholders, including regular and reliable attendance and participation in meetings.


Qualifications


  • 3+ years of experience managing social media for consumer brands, ideally within gaming, entertainment, or youth culture in European markets.

  • Proven experience marketing to Gen Z and Gen Alpha audiences, with an understanding of emerging digital behaviors, fandom dynamics, and platform ecosystems.

  • Strong experience with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, with proven ability to develop short-form video strategies that drive engagement.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with regional teams to localize and scale content across multiple markets.

  • Familiarity working with licensors on cross-brand creative reviews and approvals, ensuring brand consistency and alignment across stakeholders.

  • Creative thinker with a data-driven mindset and a passion for innovation, experimentation, and continuous learning.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across cross-functional and multicultural teams.

  • Proficient in English and Spanish, both written and verbal, to ensure clear communication across teams and partners.

  • Proficiency in social media management tools such as Sprinklr, Sprout Social, or similar.

  • Familiarity with Pokémon GO, Pokémon, or mobile game marketing is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced hybrid environment and handle stress appropriately and/or ability to solve practical problems and be sufficiently adaptable to handle dynamic situations with little advance notice.

  • Experience working on cross-functional teams with ability to communicate effectively through written and verbal communications, including asynchronous interactions with others.
