Sener is looking for a Site Quality Manager to lead quality assurance activities for offshore wind projects in Asua, Spain. This role involves ensuring compliance with project requirements and quality standards, monitoring supplier activities, and leading audits.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, a minimum of 10 years in QA/QC, and strong skills in English and Spanish. The position offers flexible hours and various benefits including a flexible remuneration plan and wellness programmes.

Formación

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within offshore wind or comparable industrial fabrication.
  • Specialist qualifications in inspection and testing for welding, NDT, coating, electrical, or civil works.
  • Certified ISO 9001 Auditor.

  • Monitor Supplier’s quality control system and verify its implementation.
  • Plan and conduct audits of suppliers and manage NCRs.

Sener is currently looking for a Site Quality Manager for Offshore Wind Projects in the north of Spain (Site). We are focused on engineering for the sustainability of industry and society. Therefore, we develop projects oriented towards achieving maximum efficiency in the transition towards a sustainable energy model, through innovation and technology. We are involved in the design, development and construction of power plants and their components, covering from conventional technologies such as combined cycle, biomass, etc. to new renewable and future technologies such as offshore wind, green hydrogen, management, circular economy and sustainability. The Site Quality Manager leads all on‑site quality assurance and quality control activities during fabrication, ensuring that contractors and subcontractors comply with project requirements, applicable standards, and the employer’s quality expectations. The role acts as the primary interface between the fabrication site, the project quality organization, and the contractor’s quality teams.

What you will do
  • Quality Leadership & Coordination
    • Lead and coordinate all QA/QC activities with the contractor, ensuring fabrication works meet project requirements, standards, and codes.
    • Identify and report inconsistencies, conflicting information, or deviations in employer or designer documentation.
    • Provide practical advice and guidance to ensure consistent quality methodologies across suppliers and project teams.
  • Inspection & Surveillance Activities
    • Monitor the Supplier’s quality control system and verify its effective implementation.
    • Provide site inspection services, including welding, NDT, coating, materials, and general fabrication inspections.
    • Review and sign off relevant QC records.
    • Attend Hold and Witness Points according to approved ITPs.
    • Inspect products and works to verify conformity.
    • Coordinate and attend Company inspections.
    • Participate in FATs when required.
  • Documentation Review & Quality Records
    • Review and accept technical specifications, Quality Plans, ITPs, procedures, and other quality documentation.
    • Ensure proper issuance, collection, filing, and traceability of QC records for the preparation of Quality Dossiers.
    • Ensure Quality Dossiers are developed and delivered in a timely manner and in accordance with project requirements.
  • Site Quality Team Management
    • Allocate and supervise designated Site Quality Resources responsible for monitoring fabrication activities and documentation.
    • Ensure site inspectors are trained and familiar with project quality requirements.
    • Maintain effective communication and coordination among inspectors and between site and central quality teams.
    • Monitor performance of site quality personnel and ensure consistent reporting.
  • Audits, Non‑Conformities & Snag Management
    • Plan and conduct audits of suppliers and sub‑suppliers (system, process, and product).
    • Manage NCRs and quality events, ensuring proper registration, follow‑up, and closure.
    • Maintain and update the package register for quality events.
    • Oversee Snag List identification, tracking, and resolution prior to final acceptance of works.
    • Report regularly on site quality performance.
  • Risk‑Based Quality Management & Verification
    • Support the implementation of a risk‑based quality approach aligned with Systems Engineering principles.
    • Contribute to verification and validation processes across the fabrication scope.
    • Support the definition and application of the project Gate Model (milestones, deliverables, acceptance criteria).
  • Continuous Improvement & Lessons Learned
    • Capture, compile, and share Lessons Learned from site quality activities.
    • Contribute to the optimization of quality processes and surveillance strategies.
    • Collaborate closely with planning, interface, and change control functions.
What we expect from you
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in QA/QC roles within offshore wind or comparable large‑scale industrial fabrication.
  • Proven background in quality oversight for one or more of the following packages:
    • Offshore Substation Topside
    • Foundations
  • Specialist qualifications in inspection and testing for the relevant scope (welding, NDT, coating, electrical, civil works). EU‑accredited certifications required.
  • Experience managing international and remote inspection teams.
  • Certified ISO 9001 Auditor.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Strong communicative competence in Spanish, both oral and written, will be positively valued.
