Amazon's AWS Data Centre Supply Solution Team in Madrid is seeking a Site Acquisitions Manager to shape and execute strategies for expanding our data centre portfolio and related infrastructure. You will assess potential properties, negotiate deals, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure acquisitions meet AWS standards and timelines.

  • Execute on the strategy while interacting with internal stakeholders (e.g. product teams, energy, fibre, design, construction, legal, tax, etc.).
  • Coordination with development, engineering, construction, project managers and legal teams amongst others, to enable evaluation of acquisition targets.
  • Prepare and present transaction summaries to the senior management team regarding progress, financial approvals and overall deal costs / benefits.
  • Manage multiple complex contract negotiations simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel internationally, at times with short notice.

Description

The AWS Data Centre Supply Solution Team is looking for a Site Acquisitions Manager based in Madrid. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute on strategies to expand our Data Centre portfolio and related infrastructure.

You will develop close working relationships with internal as well as external stakeholders, perform market and financial analysis, evaluate property solutions within our standards and guidelines, negotiate data centre and other deals, and close them to deliver the infrastructure needed to provide best in market data centre projects.

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain - and we're looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers.
