N26 is seeking an SEO & GEO Manager to drive organic growth across Europe, melding technical SEO rigor with high-impact content and AI search optimization. You will partner with Marketing, Data, Product, and Content to scale AI-driven visibility in multiple markets and emerging AI discovery platforms.

You will own traditional and technical SEO, lead AI-powered GEO initiatives, and deliver dashboards tracking traffic, sign-ups, and rankings. English fluency required; German/Spanish/Italian a plus.

Formación

• 4+ years of hands-on SEO in high-growth tech/fintech or large-scale consumer digital products across multi-language markets.
• Proven understanding of how LLMs ingest, index, and cite web sources and optimize content for AI platforms.
• Strong command of HTML/CSS and technical SEO auditing tools; experience with dynamic rendering and hreflang.
• Data fluency with GA4, GSC, SQL/Python/R; experience with API integrations is a plus.
• Fluent written and spoken English; professional proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian is a plus.

About the opportunity

As the SEO & GEO Manager at N26, you will be responsible for driving organic user acquisition across all digital channels and emerging AI search engines (e.g., Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini). You will blend technical SEO rigor, data analytics, high-authority content strategy, and semantic optimization to ensure N26 remains the primary mobile banking recommendation across traditional search engines and AI discovery platforms.

You will sit at the intersection of Marketing, Data, Product, and Content, scaling our organic footprint across multiple European markets while building N26’s pioneer strategy in AI search visibility.

In this role, you will:

Traditional & Technical SEO

• Search Strategy: Define, execute, and scale the multi-market organic search roadmap across key N26 operating markets (Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, and pan-Europe).
• Technical SEO Leadership: Partner with Product and Web Engineering teams to maintain flawless technical site health, addressing site speed, crawlability, indexing, Core Web Vitals, dynamic rendering, and international multi-language architecture (hreflang).
• High-Intent Content Strategy: Collaborate with the Product Marketing and Brand teams to build and optimize localized, compliant fintech content targeting high-intent, converting keywords.

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) & AI Visibility

• AI Search Strategy: Develop N26’s framework for GEO, optimizing web presence to maximize brand recommendation, inclusion, and positive sentiment in AI-generated answers (e.g., ChatGPT Search, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews).
• Knowledge Graph & Entity Management: Optimize structured data (Schema.org), digital entity relationships, and authoritative external references to establish N26 as the definitive financial authority for LLMs.
• Citation & Share of Voice Monitoring: Establish benchmarks, tracking metrics, and custom tools to measure N26’s share of AI voice (SoAIV) and recommendation rates against competitors in conversational search.

Analytics, Testing & Reporting

• Performance Tracking: Deliver standard organic acquisition dashboards tracking organic traffic, sign-ups, and keyword/entity rankings.
• Testing & Experimentation: Run continuous A/B and multivariate tests on title tags, semantic markup, content structuring, and internal linking to drive conversion rate optimization (CRO) and crawl efficiency.
• Market Insights: Monitor algorithm updates, AI model updates, and regulatory shifts to proactively adapt our growth tactics.

What you need to be successful:

• Experience: 4+ years of hands-on experience in SEO within high-growth tech companies, fintechs, or large-scale consumer digital products across multi-language markets.
• GEO & AI Search Mastery: Proven understanding of how Large Language Models (LLMs) ingest, index, and cite web sources, alongside practical experience optimizing content for AI platforms.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong command of HTML/CSS, technical SEO auditing tools (Screaming Frog, Log analysis, etc.), dynamic rendering, and structured data implementation.
• Data Fluency: Advanced knowledge of Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 (GA4), Ahrefs, Semrush, and SQL/Python/R (a plus for large dataset analysis and API integrations).
• Language: Fluent written and spoken English. Professional proficiency in German, French, Spanish, or Italian is a strong advantage.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience working with programmatic SEO and automated content workflows.
• Familiarity with vector databases, semantic search embeddings, and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) concepts.
• Experience in App Store Optimization (ASO) for iOS and Android.
