Werfen is seeking a Senior Software Test Engineer to verify and validate clinical solutions software. You will autonomously design and develop procedures to test, report results and defects, and participate in test planning for software used in medical devices.

Responsibilities include designing functional and non-functional tests, building traceability to requirements, and generating metrics to monitor testing progress.

Formación

• Engineer, computer science or other technical degree, or equivalent work experience.
• Solid knowledge of test design techniques.
• Automation coding skills and/or good test case implementation.
• Adherence to automated testing strategy and innovative ideas.

Responsabilidades

• Designs functional test case scenarios with high coverage and traceability to requirements.
• Identifies, reports, and re-tests complex defects.
• Reviews requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure test coverage.
• Designs and executes tests for non-functional requirements (performance, cybersecurity, usability).
• Generates advanced metrics to assess testing progress.
• Maintains daily test documentation records.
• Executes risk-based test cases and understands safety risks.
• Contributes to user story risk analysis and traceability to safety requirements and mitigations.
• Collaborates with squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver improvements.
• Could act as Scrum Master for the project.

The Senior Software Test Engineer participates, working autonomously, in verification and validation activities for clinical solutions software, including, designing and developing procedures to test and report results and defects, and may include test planning.

Key Accountabilities

• Designs functional test cases scenarios with very good level of coverage and build traceability to requeriments.
• Identifies, reports, and re-test complex defects
• Reviews requirements, specifications, and acceptance criteria to ensure test coverage
• Designs and Executes test of the non-functional requirements for the project, such as performance, Cyber-security related and usability
• Generates advanced metrics to assess testing progress
• Participates in generating, in a daily bases, test documentation records.
• Executes Risk-base test cases and Understand Safety Risks associated with the project.
• Participates in the user stories Risk Analysis and Designs and builds traceability to Safety Requirements and risks mitigations
• Uses a wide range of cutting-edge technology to innovate while testing/developing
• Collaborates with other squad members to implement user stories, write tests, and continuously deliver new/improved product functionality
• Could act as a Scrum master of the project

Will interface regularly with groups across the organization as needed

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Education:

• Engineer, computer Science or other Technical degree, or equivalent work experience

Knowledge:

• Solid knowledge of Test Design Techniques
• Understanding of Test against the functional requirements of a SW in both formal (TCs) and exploratory testing, giving the results and review other's test design
• Advanced Knowledge of Test Environment setup
• Automation Coding skills and/or good TC implementation in at least one layer with capability of maintaining scalable test infrastructure, including configuration control, branching strategies, frameworks/tools, pipelines, and Continuous Testing practices
• Communicates with different teams to resolve technical dependencies during implementation
• Capable of adherence to an automated testing strategy and provide innovative ideas.

Experience:

• Approximately 5-7 years of related experience
• Medium Testing in Agile methodology
• Experience in SW functional and non-functional test (desirable)
• Experience with issue tracking and defect management
• Experience in Software Medical Devices development that follows ISO 13485 is a plus
