Your Mission

As a Senior Frontend Engineer working on Bitpanda’s flagship broker platform, you’ll drive the evolution of one of Europe’s leading investing and trading experiences. You’ll architect and deliver highly‑performant, secure, and scalable web surfaces that support everything from everyday investing to advanced crypto and trading features. Your decisions will shape how millions of users interact with digital assets, helping make complex financial products feel simple, fast, and trustworthy.

What you’ll do

• Own the design, development and optimisation of high‑impact web applications built with Next JS, React and TypeScript.
• Architect robust frontend systems, component libraries, and shared patterns that scale across multiple product teams.
• Collaborate deeply with product, design and back‑end engineering to define technical direction and ensure seamless end‑to‑end execution.
• Own performance, reliability, security and test quality across complex user flows, from trading execution to portfolio management.
• Mentor engineers across the organisation, elevate frontend quality standards and contribute to long‑term technical strategy.

Who you are

• 6 + years of professional web engineering experience, with expert‑level knowledge of React, Next JS, TypeScript and modern web architecture.
• Strong experience architecting large‑scale frontend systems, including SSR/ISR, caching strategies, advanced state management and performance tuning.
• Able to translate ambiguous product and UX requirements into clear technical plans and scalable solutions.
• Comfortable navigating cross‑team collaboration, influencing stakeholders and driving alignment on technical decisions.
• Hands‑on experience with modern frontend testing frameworks (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library) and a clear understanding of how to build reliable, scalable test suites.
