Aircall is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Growth team, focusing on onboarding and trial experiences. You will design, build, and improve user activation and conversion, collaborating with Product, Design, and Data to turn insights into intuitive journeys.

Although a full-stack role, the emphasis is on frontend development. You will ship user-facing interfaces, run experiments, and help shape the early customer journey at Aircall.

• Significant experience as a Full-Stack or Software Engineer with frontend focus.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Growth team, with a particular focus on optimizing onboarding and trial experiences. In this role, you will design, build, and continuously improve key product journeys that drive user activation, feature adoption, and trial conversion. You will work closely with Product, Design, and Data to identify friction points, test new ideas, and turn user insights into intuitive product experiences. Although this is a full-stack position, it has a strong emphasis on Frontend development. You will build user-facing experiences, run rapid experiments, and play an important role in shaping the beginning of the customer journey at Aircall.

What You'll Do

• Design, build, and optimize acquisition funnels, onboarding journeys, activation experiences, and trial flows.
• Develop complex, responsive, and intuitive user interfaces using modern Frontend technologies.
• Build and maintain the Backend logic and API integrations required to support seamless product experiences.
• Create, launch, and evaluate A/B tests and product variations to improve activation, adoption, and conversion.
• Use product analytics and experimentation results to measure impact and inform future iterations.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects, from technical design and implementation through release, monitoring, and optimization.
• Partner closely with Product Managers, Product Designers, Data Analysts, and other Engineers to translate user insights into effective solutions.
• Contribute to technical decisions and help improve the quality, scalability, and maintainability of the product.
• Move quickly while maintaining a high standard of engineering quality and user experience.

What We're Looking For

• Significant professional experience as a Full-Stack or Software Engineer, with hands-on contributions across both Frontend and Backend development.
• Deep Frontend expertise, including experience building complex UI components, reactive interfaces, and modern web applications.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern Frontend frameworks such as React.
• Experience designing and integrating APIs and developing the Backend services needed to support user-facing functionality.
• A strong product mindset and an interest in understanding user behavior, identifying friction, and improving customer journeys.
• Familiarity with product analytics, conversion funnels, experimentation, and data-informed decision-making.
• Ability to take ownership of ambiguous problems and deliver solutions from initial concept through production.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, particularly when working with Product, Design, Data, and Engineering stakeholders.
• Primary focus: this position involves substantial Frontend work. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to Ruby, Python, or Backend development are unlikely to match the needs of this role.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a product-led SaaS company.
• Previous experience in Growth Engineering or a similar product-focused engineering team.
• Hands-on experience optimizing onboarding, activation, monetization, or conversion funnels.
• Experience designing and implementing A/B tests or other rapid experimentation frameworks.
• Familiarity with product analytics and experimentation platforms.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments where product discovery and technical delivery happen collaboratively.
