Elastic is seeking a Software Engineer for the Control Plane - Hosted team to drive technical design and contribute to a scalable cloud platform. You will participate in coding, debugging complex failure scenarios, and shaping features while ensuring robust architecture and a strong engineering culture.

You’ll work with a distributed team across regions, lead design decisions, and collaborate with other Elastic teams to deliver reliable, high-quality software for our customers.

Formación

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Experience providing pragmatic technical leadership for a group of engineers.
• Knowledge of back-end languages such as Scala, Java or Go.

What is The Role

As a Software Engineer on our Control Plane - Hosted team, you will be responsible for technical design and work in key functional areas of Elastic's Cloud offerings. You will participate in coding, crafting solutions, debugging sophisticated failure scenarios, and prioritizing bug fixes and features. You'll analyze the current system, its strength and limitations.

What You Will Be Doing

What You Bring

• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, with a track record of delivering high-quality code
• Previous experience providing pragmatic technical leadership for a group of engineers
• Knowledge of back-end languages such as Scala, Java or Go
• Technical depth in one or more technologies relevant for SaaS (orchestration, networking, containers, etc.)
• Passion for automation and quality

Compensation

Compensation for this role is in the form of base salary. This role does not have a variable compensation component. At Elastic, our compensation philosophy aims to provide fair, competitive and transparent remuneration. Salary ranges are established based on a combination of external market benchmarks, internal pay equity considerations, and the responsibilities and complexity associated with each role. This approach helps ensure consistency across comparable roles while remaining competitive within the relevant labour markets. The typical starting salary range for this role is: €76.000 - €98.400 EUR.
