Q-tech, partnering with a fast-growing international SaaS company, is opening a new Barcelona engineering hub and seeks a Senior Software Engineer (backend-focused). You will work on Identity & Access Management, APIs, and integrations for a secure platform used by demanding clients in the private capital space.

You’ll primarily use Ruby on Rails with PostgreSQL, Redis, AWS and Kubernetes. The role offers a hybrid model (3 days remote), equity, and a generous development budget in a global team

Formación

• Backend experience with secure, scalable systems.
• OAuth 2.0 expertise is required.
• Experience designing APIs and IAM features is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Design, build and iterate on backend-heavy systems across IAM, APIs, and integrations.
• Provide security leadership across the application and resolve product-wide issues.
• Lead technical decisions when designing new features or integrations with security at the core.
• Diagnose and resolve critical login/auth issues for customers.
• Deliver features end-to-end from design to deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor peers and promote best practices.
• Drive system reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Engage in architecture discussions with engineering leadership.

Q-tech is colaborating with a fast-growing international SaaS company that is opening a new engineering hub in Barcelona and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer.

This is a backend-focused role with high ownership and real impact, working on Identity & Access Management, APIs and integrations for a platform used by some of the most demanding customers in the private capital space.

We are seeking experienced developers who would like to work in Ruby on Rails (not previous experience required).

YOU MUST HAVE:

• Expertise in OAuth 2.0

What you’ll work on

• Design, build and iterate on backend-heavy systems across IAM, APIs, internal and external integrations, ensuring security, privacy and reliability at scale.
• Provide security leadership across the whole application, resolving issues that affect the product as a whole.
• Lead technical decision-making when designing new features, refactors or integrations where security is a critical factor.
• Diagnose and resolve critical issues, such as customers being unable to log in due to authorization failures.
• Deliver features end-to-end, from design through deployment and monitoring.
• Mentor peers.
• Drive system reliability, performance and maintainability.
• Engage in architecture discussions with wider engineering leadership.
