Vonage is seeking Software Engineers to join our development team and help build the RCS channel functionality within our cloud-based communication platform. You will work on high-throughput, low-latency systems to support real-time messaging and voice capabilities.

You will code primarily in Java/Kotlin with Spring Boot Reactive, deploy with Docker and Kubernetes on AWS, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable APIs for global brands.

We are looking for Software Engineers to join our dynamic development team. As a key contributor, you will play a vital role in building out our RCS channel functionality.

Your key responsibilities:

• Build high-throughput, low-latency applications to meet communication use cases.
• Create scalable microservices that will help support our impressive growth
• Write efficient and scalable code in well-tested systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
• Propose scalable, maintainable and cost-effective solutions
• Estimate the effort required to develop and implement new features
• Develop and execute effective testing strategies to ensure software quality and reliability

What you'll bring:

• Excellent software engineering skills in Kotlin/Java for backend services
• A strong focus on testing, with a customer-first mindset
• Experience with multi-threaded architectures, web services, and caching.
• Practical experience in deploying code in a modern programming environment using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages.
