Open Digital Services, the software development arm of Santander Group, is recruiting a Security Operations Senior Engineer in Madrid. This role sits in a fast-moving cybersecurity team, focused on protecting banking platforms across geographies in a hybrid work setup.

You will lead vulnerability management, incident response, threat detection, and security automation, collaborating with CTI, CERT teams and L2/L3 stakeholders to raise the team’s maturity and resilience.

Formación

• 6-8 years of cybersecurity experience, preferably in SOC environments.
• Hands-on incident response, alert management, vulnerability management and threat analysis across enterprise environments.
• Experience in regulated sectors like banking, financial services or consulting.
• Experience in on-call rotations.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor, investigate and correlate security events using SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Microsoft Sentinel).
• Lead and support incident response activities including triage, containment and root-cause analysis.
• Own and improve vulnerability management processes and reporting.
• Manage security tools (DLP, firewalls, proxies) and adjust policies to enhance threat detection.
• Collaborate with CTI/CERT teams to anticipate threats and improve security posture.
• Design and optimize playbooks in SOAR platforms to accelerate security operations actions.
• Contribute to threat analysis, event correlation, security automation, and penetration testing initiatives.
