Sulzer Pumps Spain in Madrid seeks a Senior Accountant (RTR) to advance our Record to Report processes. You will collaborate with multiple countries and engage with diverse stakeholders including Accounting, Reporting, Analytics, Country Finance Heads, GPOs, and auditors.

You will manage complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and period-end close, ensuring IFRS compliance and data integrity. This permanent role offers a competitive salary and global exposure.

Formación

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 4-5 years of accounting experience with focus on general ledger and financial reporting.
• CPA/ACCA/CMA or equivalent certification preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as a key member of the RTR team in the CoE, providing expert support on ad hoc topics and complex accounting issues.
• Support with complicated financial booking activities, ensuring IFRS compliance and Sulzer regulations.
• Manage complex clearing, including reconciliations and adjustments, to maintain accurate financial records.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of ERP systems to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Support the Global Process Owner (GPO) with the definition of RTR processes and system implementation.
• Oversees and governs the chart of accounts and hierarchies, ensuring it reflects the current business structure and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate closely with local Finance Teams in countries and Finance Shared Services teams / BPO provider.
• Coordinate with other departments and the Finance Shared Services teams to ensure all financial transactions are properly accounted for and reflected in the general ledger.
• Support period end close, including closing AR/AP subledger, reconciling with the GL; close GL, open new period, close AA.
• Prepare complex journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis to resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of RTR processes, leveraging technology and best practices; maintain policies, procedures and templates.
• Ensure internal controls are in place and followed for RTR processes.
• Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
• Perform Year End Closing activities such as balance carry forward, number ranges, close of AA.
• Support Intercompany reconciliation in Coprocess and Tagetik to fix variances.
