NN Digital Hub Iberia S.L. in Madrid is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to lead QA automation efforts, shape testing standards, and collaborate with development teams across the NN Group.
You will drive automation strategies, build reusable patterns, and coach QA engineers to raise the organization’s testing maturity. The role requires strong English communication, 5–7 years in QA Automation, and a proactive, cross-team mindset within a hybrid environment based in Madrid.
NN Digital Hub is a subsidiary company of Nationale Nederlanden Group located in Madrid, Spain. We deliver IT services and solutions for the different international Business Units from Nationale Nederlanden Group.
As a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer, you take a leading and proactive role in shaping quality across the organization. You do not wait for work to come to you—instead, you actively engage with teams, identify gaps, and drive improvements in testing practices and automation. You define and implement testing standards and frameworks, and actively work across teams to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities. You work closely with development and QA engineers across teams, ensuring clear, high-quality test reporting in English. You play a key communicative and coordinating role, combining deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. In this role, you collaborate closely with the other Test Environment Coordinator and Lead QA Engineers, and act as a senior sparring partner and coach within the QA domain.

Every team that contributes to the TST, ACC and Production environments content is your partner in the day-to-day running – so that's a big group; but the coordination and your own team is the IT/Performance & Monitoring team of C&D. This core team deals with central solutions and problems regarding monitoring, performance and is currently investigating how the use of the Test systems can be improved, how QA Automation can be promoted as a shared knowledge center, and disruptions can be better managed. You report to the Manager of the Center of Engineering; the Lead Engineering Manager C&D, and work with the Product Owner of the Performance & Monitoring team using Agile methodologies and OKR approach.

Fluent in English (spoken and written), with experience in international environments 5–7 years of experience in QA Automation / Test Engineering Proven experience in setting up standards and frameworks across multiple teams Strong experience with tools such as: JMeter, Playwright, BrowserStack, Azure DevOps Test Plans, JUnit, Typescript/CDK Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps) Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Splunk) is a plus Experience with Selenium, Appium, UIPath, Python, JavaScript is a plus You are highly proactive and self-driven: you take ownership, seek out problems, and act without waiting for direction You have a strong “reach-out” mindset and actively connect with teams to understand their needs You are comfortable working in an organization-wide role, influencing multiple teams and stakeholders You combine technical expertise with strong communication and stakeholder management skills You have a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy driving change You act as a leader in the QA domain, setting standards and guiding others
