Fusion Consulting is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with deep SAP MES expertise to lead end-to-end manufacturing execution projects in the pharma sector. You will manage multi-site teams, ensure GMP/regulatory compliance, and drive data-driven optimization across S/4HANA MES implementations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, with at least 3 years specifically managing SAP MES implementations in pharmaceutical or life sciences environments.
• Proven expertise in SAP MES interfacing, configuration, customization, and system optimization.
• Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, GMP standards, and regulatory compliance requirements (FDA, EMA).
• Project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent agile certification.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-site projects with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in project management tools and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
• Experience with budget management and resource planning.
• Preferred: Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement methodology training.
• Preferred: Change management expertise and experience leading organizational transformation initiatives.
• Preferred: Experience managing multiple pharma manufacturing sites or global project portfolios.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP MES implementation, interface and upgrade projects from initiation through closure, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery with comprehensive project planning and resource optimization.
• Manage cross-functional teams including IT, operations, quality, and regulatory stakeholders to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
• Analyze current manufacturing processes and system performance to identify optimization opportunities and implement data-driven solutions.
• Ensure all projects maintain compliance with pharmaceutical regulations including GMP, FDA, and EMA requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies while facilitating change management activities to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
• Communicate project status, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership and key stakeholders through regular reporting and presentations, while mentoring junior project managers.
